What's the Read-a-thon fundraiser?

It's not just about the money we raise, it's about raising readers! Donations made during Little Canada Elementary’s Read-a-Thon will be directly used to support literacy across our school by increasing access to books in classrooms and our library, and by supporting literacy activities, celebrations, and other unique learning experiences offered throughout the year that enrich our learning community.

The Little Canada PTA and teachers are working together on a special celebration of reading for the entire month of February!

Las donaciones realizadas durante el Read-a-Thon de la Primaria Little Canada se utilizarán directamente para apoyar la alfabetización en toda nuestra escuela al ampliar el acceso a libros en las aulas y en nuestra biblioteca, y al apoyar actividades de alfabetización, celebraciones y otras experiencias de aprendizaje únicas que se ofrecen a lo largo del año y enriquecen nuestra comunidad educativa.

Donations are pledged and reading minutes are tracked per grade to encourage friendly competition. Se prometen donaciones y se realiza un seguimiento de los minutos de lectura por grado para fomentar la competencia amistosa.

Your donations will help pay for:

• New Books for Library and Classrooms

• Reading activities and celebrations throughout the month

• Literacy resources that support learning in every classroom

• School-wide programs that make our community special, including theater experiences, the Pumpkin Carnival, Playworks, and family movie nights
